Despite its distance from Manila, discerning patrons drive to Antonio’s in Silang, Cavite, turning it into a magnet destination in the tourist hotspot. They come not just for the food but also for the experience of sampling the restaurant’s signature dishes in a space with a relaxed but elegant old-world feel.
The restaurant’s success gave its patron chef and owner, Antonio “Tony Boy” Escalante, the confidence to expand.
His portfolio of restaurants now includes brunch favourite Breakfast at Antonio’s and Filipino powerhouse Balay Dako in Tagaytay. Both boast a spirited patronage of their own. In 2022, Antonio’s Group expanded beyond restaurants with its first standalone deli, Pedro the Grocer, at San Antonio Plaza Arcade, also its first outlet in Metro Manila.
Soon after, Escalante opened the doors to Antonio’s at PGA Cars, bringing his flagship dining destination to Mandaluyong City.
