Martin H. Fischer
Martin Henry Fischer (10 November1879 – 19 January1962) was a German-born American physician and author. He is most famous for his teachings on the art and practice of medicine, including the famed quotation often recited on the first day of medical school, "A doctor must work eighteen hours a day and seven days a week.
