          శ్రీనివాస రామానుజన్అయ్యంగార్ (1887 డిసెంబర్ 22 – 1920ఏప్రిల్ 26) [1] బ్రిటీష్ పరిపాలనా కాలంలో భారతదేశానికి చెందిన గణిత శాస్త్రవేత్త.

          20వ శతాబ్దంలో ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాతి గాంచిన గొప్ప గణిత మేధావులలో ఒకరు. శుద్ధ గణితంలో ఈయనకు శాస్త్రీయమైన శిక్షణ లేకపోయినా గణిత విశ్లేషణ, సంఖ్యా శాస్త్రం, అనంత శ్రేణులు, అవిరామ భిన్నాలు లాంటి గణిత విభాగాలలో విశేషమైన కృషి చేశాడు. అప్పట్లో ఇక పరిష్కారం కావు అనుకున్న సమస్యలకు కూడా ఇతను పరిష్కారం కనుగొన్నాడు.
